Lance Pekus, a popular athlete from NBC's American Ninja Warrior, recently announced his debut young adult novel, The Ninja Games: The Warrior Within.
The novel was co-written by Jesse Haynes, a four-time published young adult novelist who's best known for writing young adult action/adventure.
The Ninja Games: The Warrior Within will be coming in Fall 2022 from CastleBuilders Press. It combines action-adventure elements with a ninja twist, inspired by Lance's background.

While initial tour dates and events are still being set, the first official event for the new book has been set: The Louisiana Book Festival, one of the top 10 book festivals in the country. Before the festival, which will be held in Baton Rouge on October 29th, Pekus and Haynes will participate in school visits and local signings.
Skye Norwood, who directs the young adult portion of the LBF, said, "We couldn't be more excited to feature Lance this year at our event. His book is amazing and his celebrity status will be a big draw at this year's festival. Jesse will be returning for his second in-person festival, and we can't wait to have him back, too."
